Everything you need to learn the roads
Made for learner drivers in Ireland, and for the parents, friends and instructors who sit beside them.
Directions in your tester’s words
“Take the next road on the left.” The app speaks like a tester, not like a sat nav, so test day sounds familiar.
Missed a turn? It guides you back
The app notices when you leave the route and gives you directions back onto it.
Manoeuvre spots marked
See where the reverse around a corner, the turnabout and the hill start are usually done, before you get there.
Watch the route first
Play a preview drive at home and read the full list of directions. Free on every route.
Test prep checklists
Test day checklist, technical checks, secondary controls, hand signals and how faults are marked.
Official pass rates
The pass rate and number of tests for all 57 test centres, from official CSO and RSA figures.
Three steps to a calmer test day
Pick your test centre
Choose from 57 RSA test centres. Add your test date to get a countdown.
Watch it, then drive it
Preview the route at home. Then drive it with your accompanying driver, with the phone in a holder.
Repeat until it feels easy
The app remembers which routes you have driven, so you always know what is left to practise.

Screens are from the test version of the app. Routes shown are samples.
Routes from real drives, not copied from anywhere
Every route in PassRoutes was driven by a person who knows the area. We do not copy routes from other apps or websites.
Instructors record them
Local driving instructors drive the routes they teach and mark the manoeuvre spots. If they like, their name goes on the route.
Learners confirm them
You can record your own test: GPS only, phone locked and put away. Only the part that starts and ends at the test centre is kept.
We check every one
Each recording is checked before it changes a route. Every route shows how many learners confirmed it and when it was last checked.
Are you a driving instructor?
Add the routes you teach. Drive each one once with the app and mark the manoeuvre spots. If you like, your name goes on the route for every learner at your centre to see.
Start free. Pay only if you want more routes.
No subscription. A pass lasts 90 days and then simply ends.

Safety comes first
The app can be wrong. Roads change, and no app knows what is happening around you.
- Road signs, road markings and your accompanying driver always come before the app.
- Keep the phone in a holder and do not touch it while driving.
- Learner permit holders must drive with a qualified driver who has held a full licence for at least two years.
Is PassRoutes part of the RSA?
No. PassRoutes is independent. It is not affiliated with, or approved by, the Road Safety Authority.
Will my test follow one of these routes?
It may, but nobody can promise that. The tester chooses the route on the day, and routes change. PassRoutes helps you get to know the roads, junctions and roundabouts around your test centre, so nothing there is new to you.
Do I need someone in the car with me?
Yes. In Ireland a learner permit holder must be accompanied by a qualified driver who has held a full licence for at least two years. The app asks you to confirm this before every guided drive.
Does the app record sound or video?
No, never. Recording a route uses GPS only. Recordings stay on your phone until you choose to share them.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no password. Your settings and progress are kept on your phone.
Is it a subscription?
No. A pass lasts 90 days and then simply ends. Nothing renews by itself.
Which test centres have routes?
We add a centre when its routes have been recorded and checked. The app lists every RSA test centre with its official pass rate and shows clearly which ones have routes.
Does it work in the UK?
Not yet. PassRoutes starts with Ireland.
